Rosebrooke Cottage offers accommodation in Maydena, the gateway to the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The Cottage is a 1950's traditional cottage built for the employees of the local timber industry. It has recently undergone a complete renovation.

Maydena Bike Park opened in Jan 2018! A gravity focused MTB park, it was designed and built by Dirt Art. The park caters for all abilities from elite riders to families. The Park currently has over 53 gravity focused trails open with more under construction.

While in Maydena you should also check out the following:

• Strathgordon & Lake Pedder, visit the dam. Its the largest freshwater lake in Australia! Grab some lunch at the Lake Pedder Wilderness Lodge.
• Mt Field National Park is just down the road, visit the beautiful Russell Falls, there's some excellent bushwalking too.
• Explore the Florentine & Styx Valley of the Giants, these are truly ancient forests! Take the Styx forestry roads through the forest to get you to Willie Smiths cider shed in the Huon Valley, its a nice ride if you're feeling fit.​​​​​
